Bio

Jon Reynolds, photographer and author of "Illuminating Nature," published by Countryman Press, an imprint of WW. Norton.

Jon Reynolds is an award-winning photographer based in the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area.

In addition, Jon was a teacher and adult educator for 30 years before retiring in 2025.

He now spends his free time wading in streams and chasing burning sunsets to find the next perfect shot. Illuminating Nature is his first book, published by Countrymen Press.

“Jon Reynolds has a strange talent for capturing the sensory details of places in a way that few other photographers possess. Often there is the simultaneous sensation of both stillness and action in his perfectly composed pictures. The viewer can hear the crash of waterfalls, can see the movement of clouds, can feel the sun on their skin, can even smell the soil and flowers while also feeling centered and still in the scenes he creates.”
